Public Relations Executive
Topline PR is looking for a talented and career oriented Public Relations Account Executive to work on a mix of exciting consumer and B2B accounts.
You will carry out most of the day-to-day account execution and administration and should be a capable and confident operator who has a solid, but still developing understanding of the required basic media, along with strong communication skills. You are aware of the media tools available to create required media coverage in all PR areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Media and social media relations; securing high quality and relevant coverage opportunities
- Press monitoring; identifying new opportunities for clients
- Copy-writing; drafting a range of external materials including press releases, opinion articles, features, photo call notices
- Journalist relationships; establishing contacts across a range of media
- Reporting; producing quality client reports
- New Business; assisting in the development and presentation of new business pitches
- Client servicing; supporting team on regular client update calls and other activities
- Account administration
Desired Skills & Experience
- BS or MS in Mass Communication, Journalism, Business Administration, IR or Media Science.
- 1-2 years in either a PR agency or in-house communications role
- Excellent written skills and examples of high-quality writing
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Passion and interest in media, current affairs and business issues
- Creative and able to generate new ideas
- Keen interest in social media and blogger relations
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Desire for a long-term role within a fast-paced PR agency
